Review Of The Audi A3 TDI SE

Audi are known for their stunning and high quality range of cars. A good example of this is the Audi A3 Sportback, which is particularly fantastic, and is one of the best car lease deals if you want to get yourself into a luxury car at an affordable price. Don’t forget, no deposit and bad credit car leasing are also an option available to you if you want to get behind the wheel of an A3.

The A3 has a stylish and sharp image, with a taut and lean body shape design. Our recommended model of the A3 is the TDI SE, which What Car? says ‘strikes an excellent balance between comfort and control’.

Performance

The A3 comes with a variety of strong and efficient engines, but the 1.6 and 2.0 TDI SE perform particularly well. This is due in part to the fantastic suspension and the fact it shares some of its mechanical components with the VW Golf. There is some fantastic control in the car, and the suspension makes it incredibly comfortable. The high-strength steel and aluminium that it’s been crafted with, keep the weight down too. The A3 also comes with start-stop technology, and the fuel economy is pretty decent with relatively low CO2 emissions, which rival some of the other top performing cars. The 1.6 litre gets 70.6mpg, with the 2.0 not far behind with 68.9mpg.

Interior

The cabin in the A3 has been beautifully crafted, and the luxurious materials add to the classy atmosphere. It’s easy to see that no expense has been spared, as the interior is high quality all the way through. The driving position is incredibly comfortable too, and there’s loads of adjustment available for the driver’s seat. Space is not lacking in the A3 and there’s plenty of room especially up front for the driver. Although there’s less space in the back, there’s still room enough to sit 4 adults comfortably. Couple this with a decent sized and shaped boot, and the A3 feels like a very practical car.

Spec

As far as tech goes, the A3 is kitted out with some pretty fancy features. There’s a classy infotainment screen, and the multimedia interface lets you easily control most of the car’s major functions. The whole A3 set-up is highly sleek and simple.

Verdict

The A3 is a truly outstanding car that exceeds in almost every area, and would make a fantastic choice as either a personal or a business lease car. It gives a sophisticated driving experience, and even TopGear gives it high praise, stating that the A3 is ‘the definitive example of rock-solid, sensible, impeccable German engineering.
