What’s available: The popular Kingley Vale Trail focuses more on the wildlife side of things, such as the green woodpeckers, red kites and buzzards, which all make an appearance in this woodland. What’s different about these woods compared to others, is that it features twisted, ancient yew trees, along with veteran trees which are a part of the oldest living things in Great Britain

5. Buttertubs Pass, Yorkshire Dales

What’s available: Start in Thwaite and endure upon a 5.5-mile journey and end up in Hawes. When travelling on this road, you should expect a thrilling drive and nothing less, as it’s full of twists and turns with nothing but stunning scenery. This is the ideal drive for those petrol heads and those who love a good view.

6. Cheddar Gorge, Somerset

What’s available: Cheddar Gorge is in fact Britain’s largest gorge with cliffs as high as 450ft which surround the country road. As well as being an insanely fun drive, Cheddar Gorge does feature a range of different activities for the family to take part in, including rock climbing, exploring the Cheddar caves and a cliff top walk.
