It has been noted: Nissan Note Review
The Nissan Note is Nissan’s answer to the Ford Fiesta and Honda Jazz. This cheap, small MPV has been judged to be very practical and comfortable. The Ford Fiesta is the most popular car in the UK and therefore, why not go for a challenger and stand out on the road from everyone else with a Nissan Note?
Nissan Notes are available on car leasing and you can get one without needing a deposit or having good credit. We do offer leasing deals for those with bad credit as well.
Note engine
Nissan have given the Note three engines to choose from. The basic engine is the 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 80 bhp. It has been mated with a five-speed manual gearbox. It has a top speed of 106 mph and accelerates from 0-60 mph in 13.7 seconds. With regards to fuel economy, it does very well. It has a combined fuel economy of 60.1 mpg, making it a very cheap car to run.
The top model engine is a 1.5-litre dCi Tekna, which is also paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. It has a combined fuel economy of 78.5 mpg making it one of the best fuel efficient cars in its class and has a top speed of 111 mph. It accelerates from 0-60 mph in 11.9 seconds making it very good for motorway driving as you can easily get up to speed. It also has no road tax on it (bonus!).
Note interior
Inside the Nissan Note you get a well-built, if plain interior. Everything is made from a mixture of good quality and cheap materials and plastics. It is however, noted that it is a vast improvement over the model it replaces.
The passenger space in the Note is good for both headroom and legroom because of the Note’s tall body. For six-foot adults, they will have plenty of headroom and legroom in the back. This will be improved further if the backseats are adjusted further back on their runners. Fair warning for the longer journeys, the knees space may prove to be a little tight.
With those seats, fully back on the runners, you get a boot capacity of 325-litres. If you push those rear seats forward, the capacity increases to 411-litres, so you have some leeway there. However, if you wish to get the most out of your boot, drop those rear seats and your maximum boot capacity increases to 1,495-litres.
Note Performance
This new Note model has been sharpened up and vastly improved. The suspension has been tweaked to make the ride smoother and spices up the handling to make it more exciting. When you drive over the bumps, the ride remains comfortable, although does not absorb every bump unlike some of its rivals.
However, the Note does beat its rivals on cabin refinement. The cabin noise whilst driving is kept to a minimum, although you do get the diesel rumble in those models. If you do choose a DIG-S model, you get a sportier flavour. You get 16-inch allow wheels and the steering is far more responsive and accurate than the less sporty models. The DIG-S model is the most fun you can have in a Note and it doesn’t sacrifice ride quality for that fun.
The Nissan Note is an excellent small car, that deserves consideration when it comes to car leasing. You can choose the Nissan Note and lease a car with low monthly payments without an initial deposit. If you are interested, check out our best deals for the Nissan Note here.
