Volkswagen Up Car Leasing Review

The Volkswagen Up is a fantastic, funky looking, city car, and is definitely one of the best in its class. It’s a great option for people looking for a cheap car lease, and those who want a nifty urban car. Although small, the Up is incredibly spacious, and gives drivers an economical and comfortable drive. A great car if a cheap running cost is high on your priority list.

One of the Up’s main selling points is how agile and flexible it is to drive. It easily soaks up any bumps in the road, making sure you get a smooth drive. The Up is incredibly easy to control too, especially on any narrow or winding streets, and really comes into its own when dealing with urban environments and small parking spaces. The driving position is also pretty comfortable and the wheel is height adjustable, although not reach adjustable.

With the Up, you get a choice of two engines. Both are 1litre, three cylinder, petrol engines, which deliver 59bhp and 74bhp. Both perform well in urban environments, and according to TopGear are ‘more than capable of tackling a long motorway stint.’ The great thing about the Up is how economically friendly it is, especially if you opt for the BlueMotion Tech version, which will be even cheaper to run and will also mean you can avoid paying road tax.

Another fantastic thing about the Volkswagen Up is how spacious it is. Autotrader describes the Up as being ‘one of the roomiest city cars available.’ There’s a generous amount of space not only up front for the driver, but also in the rear seats too. There’s enough shoulder space and room for two adults to sit comfortably in the back, as long as they’re not too tall. The boot is also a surprisingly decent size, and is actually one of the biggest in its class. If you want even more space, you can also flip the rear bench forward.

Along with the spacious cabin, the Up also has a classy interior. The dashboard is simple with glossy panels, and all of the plastics are of a very high quality. Overall the Up gives off a very youthful and modern vibe. Drivers can also opt to buy a removable sat-nav system, which proves to be incredibly useful, especially when driving around the city. The sat-nav is great because it will fully integrate with the car so that is displays all of your audio controls, directions, and even some eco driving tips.

It’s not just the sat-nav that you can opt for, as the Up comes wide a wide range of customisation options. There are a wide range of colour, wheel and trim options to choose from, to really personalise your car. However each model comes with different specs, so make sure you choose accordingly so you don’t have to buy extra equipment later. Some optional equipment to choose from includes air conditioning, alloy wheels, heated front seats, electric windows, central locking and height adjustment for the driver’s seat.

So if you’re looking for a car that performs remarkably well in the city, is spacious and cheap to run, whilst still being stylish, then we couldn’t recommend this car enough. We can help you find any make or model of the Up, even if you’re looking to lease with bad credit and still want a cheap car leasing option.
